Everyone in the world was fascinated when they get their hands on the world’s first virtual assistant was integrated into the iPhone 4S back in 2011. Siri sounds more authentic, friendly and more human in comparison with other virtual assistants like Google Assistant.
Since its release Siri has became more advanced, responsive and accurate if you have just got yourself a new Apple device then you must try these uber cool Siri tricks that will make you love your Apple device a little more and help you perform more efficiently.
1. Use Siri to make calls and send messages
Yes, Siri can make calls for you, you just have to launch Siri and ask “Call <contact name>” whoever you want to call to if you have multiple numbers of the person you want to call, then Siri will ask you which one to call before making a call.
You can use the same process for making messages by launching Siri and ask “Send message to <contact name>” Siri will ask you what message you want to send then you can say your message to Siri and it will be sent to your contact when you allow Siri to send the message after your confirmation.
2. Use Siri to make Whatsapp messages and calls
Yes, this feature was not available earlier but now you can send messages and make calls using Siri.
You just have to launch Siri and ask “Send a message to <contact name> on WhatsApp” then Siri will ask you what message you want to send then you can say your message to Siri and it will be sent to your contact when you allow Siri to send the message after your confirmation.
Similarly, you can make audio and video calls using Siri you just have to launch Siri and ask “Make an audio/video call to <contact name> on WhatsApp”.
3. Use Siri to call an Uber
If you have the Uber app installed in your iPhone then you can call an Uber using Siri, you just have to launch Siri and say “Call me an Uber” then Siri will ask you which type of Uber you want to call then Siri will take you to the Uber App to book your ride from your location.
Currently booking Uber directly from Siri is unavailable but we will believe it will easier to book Uber using Siri in the near future.
4. Use Siri to recognize songs
Yes, Siri can now find the song you were listening too but couldn’t remember its name thanks to the integration of Shazam in Apple Music. You can launch Siri and ask “What is this song” and then Siri will analyze the song and will reply to you with the best recognizable song.

5. Use Siri to create and edit calender events
You can use Siri to create events for yourself, like you have an event to schedule just launch Siri and say “Schedule an event at <time>” or if you want to schedule an event for tomorrow or any other date you can just say “Schedule an event at for tomorrow or <Date>” then Siri will ask you for time of event and it will be saved in your calendar.
You can also edit the events anytime using Siri.
6. Use Siri to control system settings
Sometimes it’s frustrating to go to the settings and turn off and turn on some settings or making changes to some settings, like if you want to decrease the brightness of your phone to 20% just launch Siri and say “decrease the brightness to 20%“
7. Use Siri to search nearby services
This one is really helpful you can use Siri to search for service near your location and even distant locations. You can launch Siri and say “I’m running low on petrol or gas” Siri will give you directions to the nearby gas station or petrol pump to get your gas tank refilled.
You can use Siri for other services like “I need a doctor”, “I need medicines”, and many others you can experiment yourself and see what Siri suggests you.
8. Use Siri to find answers of Science/Maths/History
Siri can help you solve Mathematics problem thanks to the integration Wolfram Alpha and its been advancing since its launch like if you want to find the square root of 2, just launch Siri and say “what is the square root of 2” then Siri will find the Square Root of 2.
9. Use Siri to click a selfie
You can click a selfie using Siri, launch Siri and say “Click a Selfie” then Siri will directly open the front camera of the device and help you take a selfie with ease.
10. Use Siri to make notes
You can make notes using Siri, launch Siri and say “Make a note for me titled <Your Title>” then Siri will ask what note you want to make after your note Siri will give you a confirmation that your note has been created.
11. Use Siri to search images on web
You can directly search images from the web using Siri, you just have to launch Siri and say “Search images of <Your Choice> on the web” then Siri will answer back with images related to your choice
12. Use Siri to find scores/schedules of your favorite sports team
You can directly get the live scores, current fixtures and schedules for your favorite Sports Team using Siri, you just have to launch Siri and say “What is the live scores of <Your Team Choice>” then Siri will answer back with live scores of your chosen team.
Siri can also find schedules/news of your favourite sports team.
13. Use Siri to open and install apps
You can access any app using Siri like if you want to open WhatsApp just launch Siri and say “Open WhatsApp” you can open any other apps that are installed in your device.
You can also install apps using Siri, like if you want to install Pokemon Go then you just have to launch Siri and say “Install Pokemon Go” then Siri will take you to the app store to get the app in your device.
14. Use Siri to set a reminder
You can access any app using Siri like if you want to open WhatsApp just launch Siri and say “Open WhatsApp” you can open any other apps that are installed in your device.
15. Use Siri to search for twitter
You can use Siri to search for tweets of your favorite people on twitter if you have twitter app install on your device, just launch Siri and say “Search tweets from <Twitter Account>” Siri will show you the latest tweets from the Twitter account.
16. Close Siri
You can close Siri by just saying “Bye” and Siri will automatically close.
These are some of the tricks that i personally use with Siri but Siri is immensly powerful and deep integration with iOS and third-party apps makes Siri the best virtual assistant we have ever used but there are various other hidden secrets that you can use with Siri.
