Xiaomi has officially unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi Pad that comes in as the company’s affordable tablet in India.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad has a 10.6-inch IPS LCD display with a 1200 x 2000 pixels resolution display with 90Hz refresh rate and up to 400 nits of peak brightness screen. It features minimal bezels all around the screen with a 5:3 aspect ratio making it comfortable for movie watching and an 83% screen-to-body ratio around the display.
It comes in power with the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset coupled with 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage with expandable memory support using the microSD card. It also offers support for keyboard and stylus for smooth tablet experience.
It features an 8MP main camera on the back of the device with no LED flash that offers up to 1080p video recording support. It also offers an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera placed in the bezels of the device for video calling and it also offers background blur feature for privacy.
It comes in with front-facing quad speakers (two on top and two on the bottom) with Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo sound. On connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.5, and a USB-C 2.0 port while the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing on the device.
It comes in with Android 12-based MIUI 13.1 running out-of-the-box that is redesigned for tablets and offers multiple screen support.
It includes an 8,000 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support.
Xiaomi Redmi Pad starts at Rs. 13,999 for the 3GB/64GB base variant, while the 4GB/64GB variant is available for Rs. 14,999 and the 6GB/128GB top model is priced at Rs. 16,999 available in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green color options in India.
