South Korean electronics giant Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminium Edition in India a new addition to its Galaxy Watch Active 2 series launched earlier in 2019. Samsung announced that this is the first smartwatch to be “Made in India” and also announced that its entire Galaxy smartwatches will be made in India in the future under the company’s “Make for India” program.

The Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminium Edition comes with a 1.4-inch (34.5mm) round-shaped Super AMOLED display that has a 360 x 360 pixels resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection.
On the inside, it includes 1.5GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and runs on Samsung’s Tizen OS. It has a 340 mAh battery that can last up to 60 hours in a single charge on daily usage. It offers IP68 certification and is rated to work at a maximum pressure of up to 5ATM.
It supports a number of third-party apps and can track over 39 built-in workouts including swimming, cycling, and rowing. It comes in equipped with a heart-rate sensor, ECG sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, and ambient light sensor.
It weighs just 30 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 4G Aluminium Edition is priced at Rs. 28,490 and comes in three elegant colors named Aqua Black, Cloud Silver, and Pink Gold. It will be available on sale starting from July 11th via Samsung retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung.com, and leading online portals.
