Disney owned streaming service Hotstar has got a makeover with the integration of Disney’s premium streaming service Disney+ to make an entry in India. Earlier it was announced that the service will be available with the start of the new season of Indian Premier League March 29, 2020.
The new makeover brings in a new integrated logo which includes both Disney+ logo and Hotstar logo making it look like ‘Disney+ Hotstar‘, and the apps theme colors have also been changed from Hotstar green to Disney+ blue which in my opinion gives it more eyes soothing feeling.
The details for Hotstar app in play store doesn’t mention Disney+ in the app yet, but the App store mentions “Disney+ Hotstar is your go-to video streaming app for the best of live sports, TV shows and movies.” but the Disney+ content has started to roll out with Disney+ original series like The Mandalorian is now available on the app and Disney exclusive content like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody is available now but trailers can only be watched right now.
The official release date for the service has not been announced yet but we can expect it will be available in some days.
Currently, the Hotstar VIP is priced at Rs. 369 per year and Hotstar Premium is priced at Rs. 299 per month and Rs. 999 per year.
