China’s Weltmeister possible translation is “master of the world.” have unveiled its latest concept sedan car Maven that was presented in an event called Imagine Day, Maven could be a new benchmark for future electric cars
The Maven offers up to 800 kilometers (497 miles) range even if under NEDC standards, it also offers 5G connectivity and level 4 autonomy which seems like a promise even for the companies that pretend to be closer to offer it than anyone else.
The first look of the vehicle reminds you of the Jaguar I-Pace or an SUV coupe, but the car follows a design of a sedan with Chinese passion in terms of cars.
Wang Xin, CEO of Weltmeister promised that the car will go to production in 2021 and it will follow most of the style and features of the concept.
On the inside, the Maven offers a retractable steering wheel with the presence of level 4 autonomy and a sliding instrument panel that goes to the middle of the dashboard when the steering wheel deploys.
The concept vehicle also offers health monitoring, there is a screen with heartbeats, body temperature, and two other ambiguous health measurements. One of them looks like a step counter and the other one appears to be something that I have no idea about and i don’t know Chinese.
At the event, Freeman Shen, founder of Weltmeister and former executive of Geely – one of the men involved with Volvo’s acquisition – was there.
Mr. Shen is a man that was asking for loans to have his startup making cars in 2016, he must be very proud of what his company has achieved in such a short term.
