Vienna ranked as the Most Liveable City in the world as per the report made by The Economist Intelligence Unit for the year 2019 out of 140 cities in the world.
The capital city of Austria topped the list for the second year in a row with an almost perfect score for stability, culture and environment, education and infrastructure, and health care.
Melbourne (Australia) was ranked second in the list which was the topper in the list for last seven years before last year when Vienna surpassed it.
Sydney (Australia) was ranked third, Osaka (Japan) was listed fourth and Calgary (Canada) was ranked fifth in the list of most liveable cities of 2019.

Honolulu (42) was ranked as the most liveable city in the United States with Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Washington, DC placed in the top 40.
London (48) and New York (58) both received a high rating for culture but were dropped in the list due to their lower scores for infrastructure and stability, with a higher uncertainty of crime and terrorism.
New Delhi of India (118) and Cairo of Egypt (125) were downgraded in the list due to “poor air quality, undesirable average temperatures, and inadequate water provision”.
Damascus of Syria was ranked as the world’s least livable city, followed by Lagos of Nigeria, and Dhaka of Bangladesh.
