ByteDance-owned TikTok the short video sharing app recently made a milestone with 2 billion downloads combined on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store but the app has not lost its presence in the market to get new users on board even with huge criticism faced because of Anti-China sentiment in India.
TikTok ranked as the most downloaded non-game app in May 2020 with more than 111.9 million installs that count a 2x year-over-year increase from May 2019 as reported by the analytics firm Sensor Tower. India still remains the country with most installs with 20 percent of its total downloads followed up by the United States at 9.3 percent.
Zoom was placed second with about 94.6 million installs capturing a massive 43x increase from May 2019. The United States and India both accounted for 17-17 percent of total installs of the app.



In overall downloads, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger placed at 3rd, 4th, and 5th place respectively.
TikTok collected about 131 million installs in April 2020 with 18.2 percent installs counted of its total downloads followed by the United States at 14.3 percent.
