Mobile gaming has been rising since the smartphones are getting more affordable in the market and revenue generation from mobile gaming is witnessing a surge in numbers with gamers making large number of purchases in the games.
Tencent dominates as the most revenue-generating mobile gaming with the company’s Honor of Kings generating more than $193 million of revenue in the month of June with 95 percent of revenue coming from China, followed by 2.1 percent from Thailand and 1.8 percent from Taiwan as reported by Sensor Tower.
Tencent’s PUBG Mobile was the second highest-earning mobile game with more than $168 million in gross revenue that records 12.8% year-over-year growth from June 2019. About 53 percent of PUBG Mobile’s revenue was collected from its Chinese version Game For Peace in China, followed by 10.4 percent from the United States.
Monster Strike from Mixi, Roblox from Roblox Corporation, and Pokémon GO from Niantic were placed at third, fourth, and fifth respectively.
Since its launch in China, revenue from Brawl Stars of Supercell has been rising and the game has been placed at sixth in the overall ranking of revenue with $84 million in June recording three times increase from June 2019.
Rise of Kingdoms from Lilith Games jumped up the overall revenue rankings to No. 8 in June generating $78 million in the month of June.
