Indian ride-hailing service Ola has officially launched its operations in the city of London after four months of the announcement of its operations in the capital city of the United Kingdom. In the Press Release, the company says it has more than 25,000 registered drivers and will offer ride services in three categories: Comfort, Comfort XL, and Executive around the city.
The company has partnered with DriveTech (Part of the AA), Mercer and Pearson to offer the best ride experience for riders in London. It also says that each and every Ola driver in London has passed the Versant spoken English test, from education experts Pearson plc, ensuring a high level of communication in English.
In the launch offer, the company is offering free ride vouchers of up to £25 for signing up in the first week after launch.
For safe and comfortable trips of the riders Ola is using its AI-based safety feature called Guardian which currently available in several cities in India and Australia after its deployment in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune in September 2018.
Ola has been operating in United Kingdom starting in South Wales in 2018 and has expanded its services to major cities including Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool. According to the company it has offered more than 3 million rides with more than 11,000 drivers in the country.
