TomTom has released the 2018 Traffic Index report which reveals the most congested cities in the list of 403 cities of 56 countries on 6 continents around the globe.
Out of 403 cities around the world Mumbai, India is found to be the most congested city in the world (65%) which also has an improvement by 1% which was (66%) in 2017.
Bogota, the Capital of Colombia was ranked second in the list with a congestion level of 63%, Lima, the Capital of Peru was ranked third with 58%.
New Delhi, the capital of India was ranked at fourth place with 58% and Moscow, the capital of Russia was ranked at fifth place with 56%.
Greensboro-High Point, USA is found to be the least congested city in the world with 9% of congestion.

Notable Points from the report:
- Nine Cities has a congestion level of 50% or more.
- 23 out of 27 cities with more than 8 million populations are listed in the top 50 congested cities.
- 75% of the cities had increased congestion level compared to 2017.
The only real positive of the congestion is that its the indicator of strong economy. It does add a dangerous impact on the enviornment with addition to costing commuters considerable amounts of time.
