Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Motorola Defy 2 adding a new rugged smartphone developed in partnership with UK-based Bullitt Group that is the successor to the Motorola Defy launched last year.

Motorola Defy 2 features the same pack that can operate in extreme conditions and MIL-SPEC 810H compliant that makes it to drop proof up to 1.8m, water proof up to 1.5m for 35 minutes, and dust & sand proof.
It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2408 pixels) IPS LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.1% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection screen on the front. It features a teardrop notch on top of the display that supports an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with up to 1080p video calling support.
It comes in power with the Mediatek Dimensity 930 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB using the shared SIM slot.
The major features of the device is the Bullitt-powered satellite messaging system can send and receive messages from just about anywhere with basic plan lets you send up to 30 messages starting at $5 per month.
It features a left-aligned vertical triple-lens camera setup on the back that includes a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with PDAF, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 2MP macro lens with dual LED flash that offers up to 1080p video recording support. It also features Motorola branding engraved on the back that also offers a fingerprint sensor for security and other features.
It offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, but the 3.5mm headphone jack is missing for connectivity. It comes in with a 5,000 mAh battery with 15W fast-charging and wireless charging support using a USB-C 2.0 port and comes with Android 12-based Moto’s UX running out-of-the-box.
