Mattel has announced the Hot Wheels-branded remote-controlled variant of the Tesla Cybertruck, the company has developed it in two sizes: a 1:64 scale RC Cybertruck priced at $20 and a 1:10 scale version that will be available for $400. It will be available for pre-order and is expected to ship in December 2020 as a limited edition.
The 1:10 scale version of the Tesla Cybertruck is described as a ‘hobby-grade radio-controlled vehicle that is off-road and rugged terrain capable.’ on Mattel’s website. It has functional headlights and taillights, and offers two driving modes “chill” and “sport”. Just like the real Cybertruck, it has a telescoping tailgate that slides out into a loading ramp for the bed.
Mattel says that the body of the car can be removed to reveal the “interior and access internal battery and drive train system.”
While the 1:64 scale version is the size of a typical Hot Wheels car, it also has two driving speeds but fewer moving parts.
