Google Home now lets you use Philips Hue integration to wake up and go to sleep gently, with a tiny delay in the availability of the feature that was announced by Philips in CES earlier this year was expected to be rolled out in March this year.
Users can activate this feature by saying Turn on “Gentle Wake” to Google Home which changes the lights of your room and mimics a sunrise effect in your room 30 minutes before your alarm turns on, you can also turn the same feature for the night time as well as you get ready to go to sleep and the lights will change and mimic a sunset effect in your room.
You can trigger this feature by setting up an alarm and immediately by a command.
Researches claim that lights play an important role in how we feel and how well we sleep. Melatonin, the hormone that helps to regulate our wake and sleep cycle, is influenced by light, whether that’s natural or artificial light.
The Gentle Wake Up and Sleep features are now available in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, Singapore and India in English only.
