Google Earth Satellite Images has solved the case of a missing person who disappeared 22 years ago as reported by Fox Business.
William Moldt who was disappeared from Lantana, Florida on November 7, 1997, according to the Charley Project, which shares details on missing people. The case remained a mystery since then but someone recently recognized a car submerged in a Florida lake while looking at the Google satellite photos.
The man who spotted the car in the lake was a former resident of the area called someone who lives in the neighborhood, who checked it out with a drone and told the authorities about is as Teri Barbera of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office told FOX Business.
After the car was pulled out of the lake remains found in the car was identified as William Moldt according to The Charley Project and surprisingly the car was visible on Google Earth since 2007 but nobody noticed in that long time.
But this wasn’t the first time Google Earth Satellite Images has solved a mystery. In 2015, as reported by the Daily Mail a man from Michigan who’d been missing since 2006 was found after someone spotted his car in a pond where it had been visible on Google Maps for years.
