Google Assistant will replace radio as your audio news source

Google Home

Google Assistant will now let you listen news and reports as per your interest. Google’s latest Assistant feature will use Artificial Intelligence to get the custom made news playlist for you. This feature will be available from today to limited number of users.

The audio news playlist will be collected as per you have requested. It will start from giving you a quick briefing of the news and topics you have requested for, you’ll be able to listen to the full news as long as from two minutes to 15 minutes. While you listen to the news no ads and no music will play for now.

Google is comparing the new feature to always available radio to listen to the news. Google has partnered with publishers around the world including The Associated Press, South China Morning Post, and The Hollywood Reporter. This feature was earlier announced in May 2018 when Google transformed Newsstand to Google News to provide a better platform to read news for the users.

The Google Assistant new feature is available only to a few users in the US, and a large scale rollout will come later on.
