Social Media is currently being dominated by a few number of companies, and the users are always excited to try something new, we have witnessed that with the growth of TikTok.
There’s a newbie to the social media network named Friended, which is taking a different strategy to connect people online started by Thumb co-founder and CEO Dan Kurani. According to the company, Friended delivers a better platform for users to have a deeper and more meaningful connection to one another.
About the App:
On Friended, users can post what they are thinking and feeling to the community, and the app allows users to make a conversation, also allowing users to send their words privately instead to that post. The basic idea of the app is to allow users to share their ideas in one-to-one setting users can post comments on the post and respond to the thread of comments.
The company has made the app without ads but with limited features like users can publish a post every eight hours, however, the company offers all the features like talking to the people in your area with its premium plan priced at $4.99 per week.
Friended has already raised $500K seed round from investors such as Jonah Goodhart, Dr. Lara Otte, Jared Fliesler and Bobby Goodlatte.
The company has not released the official numbers for monthly active users but says that it has 500,000 registered users with an average of 11 sessions per day per active user during its beta and more than 2.5 million messages were sent last month.
It’s currently available on App Store in the United States.
