Xiaomi-backed gaming phone maker Black Shark launched its latest gaming phone named Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro at the event held in China. It comes in with high-end specifications that label it as one of the best gaming phones in the market.
Black Shark 3 specifications
Black Shark 3 features a premium design with a rear panel that offers comfortable gaming sessions. It features a unique camera design and the Black Shark logo on the back is lights up using RGB-LEDs.
It has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate with minimal bezel at the top and bottom. The screen has a 20:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2400-pixels resolution with HDR10+, 270Hz touch sampling rate support. It also includes a 20MP (f/2.2) selfie camera.
It comes in power with the Snapdragon 865 chipset and coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. It also supports 5G connectivity with Snapdragon X55 modem and Wi-Fi 6 that enhances the download speeds.
The motherboard is specifically designed to distribute the heat to all parts of the device and is sandwiched between the Black Shark 3’s liquid cooling system.
It features a V-shaped triple-lens camera setup on the back that includes a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with OIS support, there’s a 13MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV and also there’s a 5MP (f/2.2) depth sensor.
It comes in with Android 10-based JoyUI running out-of-the-box which looks similar to the MiUI 11 includes multiple features including the dark theme. It supports Qualcomm’s Elite Gaming, Tencent’s Solar Core, and the company’s own Game Engine to optimize the game performance.
It includes a 4,720 mAh battery with 65W USB Type-C fast-charging and as per the company, it can be charged from 0-60 in just 15 minutes. It also offers a new magnetic charger that supports 18W fast-charging.
Black Shark 3 will be available in four color variants namely Lightning Black, Star Silver, Armor Gray, and Bright Pink.
Black Shark 3 Pro specifications
The Black Shark 3 Pro offers a 7.1-inch 2K+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 3120 x 1440-pixels resolution. The most notable difference between the Pro and non-Pro variant is that it has buttons on the right edge of the screen that lifts up only when you choose to while playing any game on the device.
It has a unique in-game voice control that allows you to perform certain actions, such as opening up your bag, swapping guns, or using grenades/first-aids in PUBG Mobile with your own assigned specific voice commands.
It has dual front-facing speakers and a bigger 5,000mAh battery.
Black Shark 3 Pro will be available in two color variants namely Phantom Black and Armor Grey.
Pricing and Availability:
Black Shark 3 starts at 3,499 yuan (around Rs. 36,750) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage base variant. While, 12GB+128GB variant is priced at 3,799 yuan (around Rs. 39,900) and the top variant of 12GB+256GB will be available for 3,999 yuan (around Rs. 42,000).
Black Shark 3 Pro starts at 4,699 yuan (around Rs. 49,350) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage base variant and the top variant of 12GB+256GB will be available for 4,999 yuan (around Rs. 52,500).
Black Shark also launched its new air cooler attachment (179 yuan), neckband earphones (499 yuan), and a new gaming controller (199 yuan) at today’s event.
