Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K40S adding a new device to the Redmi K40 series launched last year in China.

Redmi K40S comes in with a 6.67-inch FHD+ E4 Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 1300 nits of peak brightness, HDR10+ and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 Protection display.
It features a tiny punch-hole cutout on the top of the display that holds a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with HDR and up to 1080p video calling support.
It comes in powered with the Snapdragon 870 5G chipset coupled with 6GB/8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It also offers a fingerprint sensor on the right side of the device for authentication and other features.
Redmi K40S features a rectangular triple-lens camera setup on the back which has a 48MP (f/1.8) Sony IMX582 primary sensor with PDAF, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree FOV, and a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens that offers up to 4K video recording support.
It comes in with Android 12 based MIUI 13 running out-of-the-box which includes multiple features like a dark theme and a number of work/life-focused features.
It features a 4,500 mAh battery with 67W fast-charging and as per the company, it can be charged from 0-100 percent in just 38 minutes.
On connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, an Infrared port, USB-C 2.0 port, and no 3.5mm headphone jack.

Redmi K40S starts at 1,799 yuan for base variant of 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, 1,999 yuan for the 8GB+128GB variant, 2,199 yuan for the 8GB+256GB variant and 2,399 yuan for the 12GB+256GB variant available in four Black, Gray, Blue and Green options in China.
