Facebook-owned WhatsApp has officially arrived on the Kai OS, the Operating System that is running on the Nokia 8110 4G, the remake of the legendary Nokia 8110 “banana phone”.
WhatsApp can be downloaded from the KaiStore for KaiOS devices with 256MB or 512MB of RAM and it will soon be coming pre-installed in the future devices and from next quarter this year.
The KaiOS version of the app supports both calling and messaging, and it includes end-to-end encryption just like it does on Android and iOS.
KaiOS is a lightweight operating system that is currently running on more than 100 million devices shipped worldwide, in over 100 countries.

Since KaiOS has a large number of devices Google invested on the OS and voice-typing powered by Google Assistant arrived on the platform earlier this year.
