Vivo has launched the Vivo S9 adding a new 5G smartphone to its affordable Vivo S series in China that is expected to be launched in other countries.

Vivo S9 has a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate screen, 20:9 aspect ratio and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution with a big notch on the top of the screen that holds a dual-lens selfie camera with a 44MP (f/2.0) primary sensor and an 8MP (f/2.3) ultra wide-angle lens that offers HDR and 4K video recording support.
It comes in powered with the Mediatek Dimensity 1100 5G chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of (UFS 3.1) internal storage with no expandable storage option.
It features a rectangular triple-lens rear camera with a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with PDAF and OIS support, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor with an LED flash that offers up to 4K video recording support.
It comes in with a 4,000 mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support that can charge the device from 0-66% in just 30 minutes using a USB-C port.
It comes in with Android 11 running with Vivo’s Origin OS 1.0 running out-of-the-box. On connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, it does not offer 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo S9 starts at 2,999 yuan (~Rs. 33,200) for the 8GB/128GB base variant while the top variant with 12GB/256GB is available for 3,299 yuan (~Rs. 37,200) in three white, black and Gradient Blue color options in China.
