Vivo has launched the Vivo S16e adding a new 5G smartphone to its mid-range Vivo S series in China and is expected to be launched in other countries.

Vivo S16e has a 6.62-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, up to 1300 nits of peak brightness and 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution with a punch hole cutout on the top of the screen that holds a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera that offers HDR and 1080p video recording support.
It comes in powered with the Samsung’s Exynos 1080 5G chipset coupled with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of (UFS 3.1) internal storage with no expandable memory support. It also features an under display optical fingerprint sensor on the screen for authentication and other features.
It features a rectangular triple-lens rear camera with a 50MP (f/1.9) primary sensor with PDAF and OIS, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor with Ring LED flash that offers HDR, Panorama and up to 4K video recording support.
It comes in with a 4,600 mAh battery with 66W fast-charging support that can charge the device from 0-50% in just 19 minutes using a USB-C 2.0 port.
It comes in with Android 11-based running with Vivo’s Origin OS Ocean running out-of-the-box. On connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and it does not offer 3.5mm headphone jack.

Vivo S16e starts at 2,099 yuan for the 8GB/128GB base variant while the top variant with 12GB/256GB is priced at 2,499 yuan available in three Black, Green and Purple color options in China.
