TikTok made its return to the 1st place in the Most Downloaded Non-Game mobile app in December 2020 after WhatsApp jumped ahead of TikTok in November 2020 as reported by Sensor Tower.
Douyin in China counted for 11 percent followed by the United States at 10 percent of about 56 million installs in December 2020.
Facebook ranked second with about 50 million installs out of which 24 percent installs were reported in India and 8 percent in the United States.
