Sony has launched the Xperia 8 Lite in Japan that is almost similar to the Xperia 10 launched last year following a similar body with minor changes to the dual camera setup.

Sony Xperia 8 Lite has a 6-inch FHD+ (2520 x 1080 pixels) LCD display with a 21:9 aspect ratio that offers an impressive experience for watching movies on the device.

It comes in powered with the Snapdragon 630 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB using a shared microSD card slot.

It comes in with a horizontal pill-shaped dual-lens camera setup that includes a 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor that offers 2X optical zoom and up to 4K resolution video recording support.

It also includes an 8MP selfie camera placed at the top bezels in the front of the display that offers HDR and other features.

It includes a fingerprint sensor on the right-side power button and weighs at 170 grams with IPX5/IPX8 water and dust-resistant.

It has a 2,870 mAh Li-Po battery with Xperia’s unique friendly charging support that helps in keeping the battery from suffering load and increases battery life for up to 2 years.

On connectivity, it offers WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB-C port for charging and data transfer.

Sony Xperia 8 Lite is priced at 29,800 yen (~Rs. 20,800) in two attractive color variants – Black and White that will be available for starting from September 1st in Japan.
