Sony has finally pulled the covers off its first 5G smartphone Xperia 1 II which was earlier scheduled to launch at the MWC 2020 but launched at a live-streamed event.

Sony Xperia 1 II has a 6.5-inch 4K HDR (3840 x 1644 pixels) OLED display with a 21:9 aspect ratio (which the company dubbed as CineWide) that is widely known to offer an impressive experience for watching movies on the device.
It comes in powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB using a shared microSD card slot.
It comes in with a vertical triple-lens camera setup with a trio of different 12MP lens with Zeiss’ T* anti-reflective coating. It includes a 12MP (f/1.7) primary sensor with Dual-PF, AF, and OIS, a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 32-degree FOV, a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 124-degree FOV and it also includes a 3D iTOF sensor on the back.
It also includes an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera packed in the front of the display that offers HDR photo and other features.
It includes a fingerprint sensor on the right-side power button and it also brings back the 3.5mm headphone jack. When its Sony you can expect a high-quality sound experience with 360 Reality Audio using Dual speakers.
It has a 4,000 mAh Li-Po battery that supports fast charging using a USB-C charger and it also supports wireless charging.
Sony announced that the Xperia 1 II will be available for $1,199 starting July 24th in the United States in three attractive color variants – Black, White, and Purple.
Pre-orders starts on June 1st and if you pre-order before June 28th, you’ll get a free pair of Sony WF-1000XM3 noise canceling earbuds.
