South Korean tech giant Samsung has officially pulled the wraps off its much-awaited new foldable smartphone Galaxy Z Flip at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in San Francisco, California.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip features a unique folding design that appears to be like the Motorola Razr.
It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen with an Infinity Flex display and includes Samsung’s bendable Ultra Thing Glass (UTG) that holds a 10MP (f/2.4) punch-hole selfie camera. It has a 21:9:9 aspect ratio, 2636 x 1080 pixels resolution with 425ppi pixel density.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is powered by a Snapdragon 855+ chipset and will be available in a single variant of 8GB RAM and 256GB (UFS 3.0) of internal storage.
Galaxy Z Flip has a dual-lens camera on the back with a 12MP (f/1.8) ultra-wide-angle lens with a 78-degree field-of-view and a 12MP (f/2.2) wide-angle, the same camera can be used to take a selfie with using the small 1.1-inch OLED display available for notifications when the device is closed.
It offers a three-stop hinge that allows you to use the device just like a mini laptop and hold the device at a range of angles. It includes a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device for security.
It comes in with a 3,300 mAh battery with 15W fast-charging support via the power cord and wireless. It weighs just 183 grams.
Galaxy Z Flip starts at $1,380 and is available from February 14th in the United States and Korea. It will be available in three beautiful colors named Mirror Purple, Mirror Black and Mirror Gold (in select countries).
Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip in India at Rs. 1,09,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant and its available for Pre-registration now.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will also be available in a limited Thom Browne edition designed in collaboration with American designer Thom Browne.
