South Korean tech giant Samsung has officially pulled the wraps off its much-awaited new Galaxy S series with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S20 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in San Francisco, California.
Samsung Galaxy S20 series includes three devices: Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S20



Samsung Galaxy S20 has a 6.2-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED screen with an Infinity-O display, it has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 3200 x 1440 pixels resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate (up to FHD+) and an in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the device.
Galaxy S20 is powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset (Samsung Exynos 990 in Global market) comes in coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 512GB using a dedicated microSD slot.
It features a rectangular triple-lens rear camera setup with a 12 MP primary sensor, 64MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens with superb camera features. like super steady mode, 8K video recording, Single Take (where the phone captures almost every type of photo/video option available in the camera app including boomerang, ultra-wide, portrait video, and more).
It comes in with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 running out-of-the-box, it has a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W USB Type-C fast-charger it includes IP68 dust and water resistance and includes no 3.5mm headphone jack.
Galaxy S20 will be available in three colors named Cosmic Grey, Cloud Blue, and Cloud Pink.
It starts at $999 in the United States and will be available for pre-order from February 21 next week and go on sale from March 6.
Galaxy S20 starts at Rs. 66,999 in India and is available for pre-order from February 15.
Galaxy S20 Plus



Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus has a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with similar specifications as the Galaxy S20.
Minor upgrades include a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor for improved depth sensing and better portraits with the triple-lens camera setup and the selfie camera remains the same.
Galaxy S20 Plus has a 4,500 mAh battery with the same 25W USB Type-C fast-charger.
Galaxy S20 Plus will be available in three colors named Cosmic Black, Cosmic Grey, and Cloud Blue.
It starts at $1199 in the United States and will be available for pre-order from February 21 next week and go on sale from March 6.
Galaxy S20 Plus starts at Rs. 73,999 in India and is available for pre-order from February 15.
Galaxy S20 Ultra



Galaxy S20 Ultra has a 6.9-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED screen with similar specifications, resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. It includes 16GB of RAM (world’s first) and 512GB internal storage.
The major upgrade is at the camera which includes a Quad-lens camera with a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 48MP telephoto lens with 10X optical zoom and 100X digital zoom (which the company calls as 100x Space Zoom) and also it includes a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor.
The selfie camera of the device has been upgraded to 40MP in place of 10MP in other variants.
It comes in with similar software and connectivity features but has a much-bigger 5,000 mAh battery.
Galaxy S20 Ultra will be available in two colors named Cosmic Grey and Cosmic Black.
It starts at $1399 in the United States and will be available for pre-order from February 21 next week and go on sale from March 6.
Galaxy S20 Ultra starts at Rs. 92,999 in India and is available for pre-order from February 15.
