Samsung has silently announced the Galaxy J2 Core 2020 successor to the Galaxy J2 Core launched in 2018 with minor improvements to the budget-friendly Galaxy J series.

Samsung Galaxy J2 Core 2020 has a 5.0-inch PLS TFT display with a 540 x 960 pixels resolution and 66.7% screen-to-body ratio. It features thick bezels on the top and bottom with a 5MP (f/2.2) selfie camera.
It comes in with the Exynos 7570 Quad-core 1.4 GHz processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (eMMC 5.0) which can be expanded using a dedicated microSD slot.
It features an 8MP (f/2.2) primary camera with LED Flash, AF, HDR, and Panorama support. It includes Dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes in with Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) running out-of-the-box, it includes a 2,600 mAh battery with USB 2.0 charging support that is listed to offer up to 12 hours of video playback, 22 hours of talk time, and up to 91 hours of audio playback.
The smartphone measures 143.4 x 72.1 x 8.9 mm and weighs 154 grams, same as the 2018 model.
