Samsung is losing its strength in the budget smartphone category in India to Chinese rivals Xiaomi, Vivo, and Oppo but the company has been strong in the mid-range smartphone series so the company has refreshed its Galaxy A series with the launch of Galaxy A51 in India (launched in December 2019).
Galaxy A51 specifications
Samsung Galaxy A51 has a 6.5-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen with an Infinity-O display that holds a 32MP (f/2.2) selfie camera. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution, 87.4% screen-to-body ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the device.
Galaxy A51 is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 9611 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.0) with up to 512GB using the dedicated microSD slot.



It has an L-shaped rectangular quad-lens rear camera setup with a 48MP (f/2.0) primary sensor, a 13MP (ultrawide) with 123-degree FOV, a 5MP (telephoto lens), and a 5MP (depth sensor) with superb camera features.
It comes in with Android 10 running with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 out-of-the-box, it has a 4,000 mAh battery and it gets a 15W USB Type-C fast-charger in the box and it weighs just 172 grams.
Galaxy A51 Pricing and Availability:
Samsung Galaxy A51 is available in a single variant of 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage at Rs. 23,999 (Launch Price – Rs. 23,999).
Samsung Galaxy A51 8GB + 128GB variant has also launched in India priced at Rs. 25,999 (Launch price – Rs. 27,999) in India.
It is available in four color options named Prism Crush Black, White, Blue, and Pink. It is available on sale starting from 31st January on both online and offline stores.
Samsung Galaxy A51 5G comes in power with the Exynos 980 chipset with a 5G modem, a bigger 4,500 mAh battery with 15W charging, and offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The Galaxy A51 5G is now up for pre-order starting today until May 7 in a single configuration 6GB + 128GB variant priced at KRW 572,000 (around €430, INR 35,500) in South Korea and will begin shipping after May 4.
