South Korean tech giant Samsung has semi-unveiled the Galaxy A42 5G adding a new device to its Galaxy A series.

Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. It features a 32MP (f/2.0) selfie camera that sits inside the dot notch on the top center of the display and it also includes smooth bezels on the bottom of the screen.
It comes in power with an unspecified octa-core processor (expected to by Snapdragon 750G) coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 1TB using the dedicated microSD slot. It also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.

It has a square-shaped quad-lens rear camera setup with a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (ultrawide) with 123-degree FOV, a 5MP (macro lens), and a 5MP (depth sensor) with Samsung’s single-take features that takes multiple shots in a single shot.
It comes in with Android 10 running with Samsung’s One UI 2.0 out-of-the-box, it has 5,000 mAh battery with a 15W USB-C Adaptive fast-charger in the box.

Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is available at TWD 13,990 ($490/€415) for the 8GB variant in three Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Gray color options in Taiwan.
