Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A2 adding a new entry level device that comes in as the successor to the Redmi A1 to the Redmi Smartphone lineups in India.

It features a 6.52-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with 20:9 aspect ratio, 720 x 1600 pixels resolution and up to 400 nits of peak brightness. It features a tear drop notch on the top center of the display which holds a 5MP selfie camera that offers up to 720p video calling support.
It comes in powered by the Mediatek Helio G36 chipset coupled with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage with a dedicated microSD card slot for expandable memory support.
It features a rectangular dual-lens camera setup with an 8MP primary sensor and a 0.3MP secondary sensor with dual LED flash that offers up to 1080p video recording support.
It includes a 5,000 mAh battery that can last for a day smoothly and it comes in with Android 12-based MIUI 12 running out-of-the-box.
On connectivity it offers single band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio and a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data transfer with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
