Xiaomi leads with a big margin in the Indian smartphone market and the company is looking to expand its market share with the launch of Redmi 8A Dual, the company’s new addition to its budget smartphone lineups in India. Redmi 8A Dual comes in with minor upgrades to the Redmi 8A that was launched last year in the festival season in India.
Redmi 8A Pro is the rebranded version of Redmi 8A Dual launched in Indonesia.
Redmi 8A Dual specifications
Redmi 8A Dual has the same polycarbonate body with a new Aura XGrip design that feels really good in the hand and gives it a premium look while being an entry-level device.
Redmi 8A Dual has the same 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with Xiaomi’s dot notch display that holds an 8MP selfie camera and a soft bezel on the bottom with Redmi branding.
It is powered by Snapdragon 439 processor paired with up to 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.
Redmi 8A Dual features a dual-lens rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor on the back and is packed with features like AI Scene Detection and AI Portrait mode on the smartphone.
It has the same 5,000 mAh battery with a 10W charger but the device also supports 18W fast-charging via the USB Type-C port.
It offers wireless FM Radio which could be very helpful for FM Radio listeners and thanks to the 0.82CC acoustic chamber you can experience louder audio on the device.

Redmi 8A Dual starts at Rs. 7,499 (Rs. 6,499) for the 2GB+32GB base variant and the top variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage will be available for 7,999.
