Xiaomi has launched the new Redmi 8 and added a new smartphone to its entry-level smartphone lineup in India and gave buyers a new better option to choose from and upgrade which comes just a couple of weeks after the launch of Redmi 8A.
Redmi 8 has a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS LCD screen with Xiaomi’s waterdrop notch on the top that holds an 8MP selfie camera. It also has a thick bezel on the bottom that displays Redmi branding and gives an appealing look to the device.
Redmi 8 is powered with the same Snapdragon 439 processor that comes in the Redmi 8A. It comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 512GB with a dedicated microSD card slot.
Redmi 8 features dual-lens 12MP (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2MP (depth sensor) on the back and is packed with multiple features for photography on the smartphone. It also features AI Face unlock, a dedicated fingerprint sensor on the back.
It also comes in with a massive 5,000 mAh battery that also supports 18W fast-charging via the USB Type-C port it will come with a 10W power adapter in the box.

Redmi 8 starts at Rs. 7,999 for the 3GB+32GB base variant and the higher 4GB RAM variant, with 64GB storage is now available for Rs. 9,499 (Rs. 8,999).
Redmi 8 is available on sale from October 12th, exclusively on Mi.com, Xiaomi official stores, and Flipkart. It is available in four colors named Emerald Green, Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and the Onyx Black.
