Oppo has launched the Oppo A78 a new addition to the Oppo A series that comes in as the successor to the Oppo A77 launched last year.

It has a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.8% screen-to-body ratio, 2400 X 1080 pixels resolution and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. It features an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera that sits under the teardrop notch on the top of the display with thin bezels at the bottom and Panda Glass protection on the front.
It comes in power with the Mediatek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage (UFS 2.2) that can be expanded up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot. It includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor placed on the right side of the device for authentication and other features .
It features a vertical dual-lens camera setup that includes a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with PDAF and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor that offers up to 1080p video recording support.
It has a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast-charging support that can charge the device from 0-52% in just 30 minutes. It includes dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC for connectivity with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C port.
It comes in with Android 12 based ColorOS 13 running out-of-the-box and it weighs 188 grams with just 8mm thickness.
