Chinese tech giant Oppo has launched the Oppo A53 adding a new device to its budget and mid-range Oppo A series that is the first smartphone to feature the latest Snapdragon 460 chipset.

Oppo A53 has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) 90Hz refresh rate IPS LCD display screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 82.9% screen-to-body ratio it features a punch hole cut out on the top left of the display that holds a 16MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with thin bezels at the bottom and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 460 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot. It includes a fingerprint sensor-equipped in the power button for authentication.
It features a rectangular triple-lens camera setup that has a 16MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with PDAF, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor on the back with an LED flash.
Oppo A53 has a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support via USB Type-C port that can last “all-day” on a single charge. It includes Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes in with Android 10 based ColorOS 7.2 running out-of-the-box with multiple gaming features like Game Boost 2.0, and it weighs 186 grams.

Oppo A53 starts at Rs. 12,990 for the 4GB + 64GB base variant while the 6GB + 128GB variant is available for Rs. 15,490 in India. It is available in three Electric Black, Fairly White, and Fancy Blue color options.
