
Chinese tech giant Oppo has launched the Oppo A53 5G adding a new affordable 5G smartphone in China. It comes in as the 5G variant of the Oppo A53 and Oppo A53s launched earlier this year.

Oppo A53 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) 90Hz refresh rate IPS LCD display screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 82.9% screen-to-body ratio it features a tiny punch hole cut out on the top left of the display that holds an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with thin bezels at the bottom and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
It is powered by the Dimensity 720 5G chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot. It includes a fingerprint sensor-equipped in the power button for authentication.
It features a square-shaped triple-lens camera setup that has a 16MP (f/2.2) primary sensor with PDAF, a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens, and a 2MP (f/2.4) depth sensor on the back with an LED flash.
Oppo A53 5G has a 4,040 mAh battery with 10W charging support via USB Type-C port that can last “all-day” on a single charge. It includes Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It comes in with Android 10 based ColorOS 7.2 running out-of-the-box with multiple gaming features like Game Boost 2.0, and it weighs 175 grams.
