China-based Nubia Technology has launched the Nubia Z40 Pro its latest smartphone that comes in as the successor of the Nubia Z30 Pro launched last year in China.

Nubia Z40 Pro features a 6.67-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) Curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 20:9 aspect ratio, a 93.45% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+, 10 bit color and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness support. It features a punch hole cutout on the top center of the display that holds a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with 4K video recording support.
Nubia Z40 Pro comes in powered with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chipset paired with up to 8GB/12GB/16GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB of UFS 3.1 internal storage with no expandable memory support. It offers an under-display fingerprint sensor for authentication and comes in with Android 12-based MyOS 12 running out-of-the-box.
It features a rectangular triple-lens camera setup that includes a trio of 64MP sensors with a 64MP (f/1.7) primary sensor with PDAF and OIS support, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto cum periscope lens with 5X optical zoom and 50X digital zoom and a 50MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 116-degree FOV. It offers video recording up to 8K resolution at 30fps and 720p videos at 1920 frames per second.

It includes a 5,000 mAh battery (4,600 mAh battery in Gravity Edition) with 80W USB-C fast charging support while the Gravity Edition adds 66W fast-charging and 15W fast magnetic wireless charging support.
On connectivity it offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, a USB-C 3.1 port and no 3.5mm headphone jack.
