China-based Nubia Technology has launched the Nubia Red Magic 5S its latest gaming smartphone to compete against Xiaomi’s Black Shark, Asus ROG Phone 3, Lenovo Legio Duel and Vivo’s iQOO 3, as a gaming smartphone it comes in packed with high-end specifications.

Nubia Red Magic 5S has a 6.65-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, an 82.5%% screen-to-body ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch response rate with HDR 10+ support.
It comes in powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 CPU and Adreno 650 GPU paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The device has dual-mode 5G connectivity and faster Wi-Fi 6 support and comes in running with Android 10-based Red Magic OS out-of-the-box.
To keep the device cool it includes an upgraded physical fan that operates at up to 15,000 rpm and it also includes the Active Liquid-Cooling solution.
It features a vertical triple-lens camera setup with a 64MP (f/1.7) Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor that is capable of capturing high-quality images. It offers an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with 1080p video calling support.
Red Magic 5S has a massive 4,500 mAh battery with a 55W NeoCharge fast-charging technology to provide you a hefty gaming session. The new charger supports the PPS (Programmable Power Supply) protocol, which the company claims it can charge your device to 56% in just 15 minutes and 100% in just 40 minutes.
Nubia Red Magic 5S Pricing & Availability:
Red Magic 5S starts at 3,799 yuan (~Rs. 40,300) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage base variant while the top variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 4,399 yuan (~Rs. 46,700) in China.
It is available in Gray/Silver and Red/Blue color options and will be on sale starting from August 1st in China.
The company also offers the top variant with 16GB of RAM is priced at 4,999 yuan (Rs. 53,400).
