China-based Nubia Technology has launched the Nubia Red Magic 5G its latest gaming smartphone to compete against Xiaomi’s Black Shark, Asus ROG Phone and Vivo’s iQOO 3, as a gaming smartphone it comes in packed with high-end specifications.
Nubia Red Magic 5G Specifications
Nubia Red Magic 5G has a 6.65-inch Full HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, an 82.5%% screen-to-body ratio, a much higher 144Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch response rate with HDR 10+ support.
It comes in powered by the latest Snapdragon 865 CPU and Adreno 650 GPU paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 internal storage. The device has dual-mode 5G connectivity and faster Wi-Fi 6 support and comes in running with Android 10-based Red Magic OS out-of-the-box.
To keep the device cool it includes an upgraded physical fan that operates at up to 15,000 rpm and it also includes the liquid cooling solution.
It features a vertical triple-lens camera setup with a 64MP (f/1.7) Sony IMX686 primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor that is capable of capturing high-quality images.
Red Magic 5G has a massive 4,500 mAh battery with a 55W NeoCharge fast-charging technology to provide you a hefty gaming session. The new charger supports the PPS (Programmable Power Supply) protocol, which the company claims it can charge your device to 56% in just 15 minutes and 100% in just 40 minutes.

Red Magic 5G starts at 3,799 yuan (~Rs. 40,300) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage base variant in three attractive colors namely Cyber show Rainbow, Hacker Black, and Mars Red. It also offers three other configurations
12GB+128GB – 4,099 yuan (~Rs. 43,500)
12GB+256GB – 4,399 yuan (~Rs. 46,700)
16GB+256GB – 4,999 yuan (~Rs. 53,000)
A special Red Magic 5G “Transparent Edition” has also been released at Rs. 4,599 yuan (around Rs. 48,800) for the 12GB+256GB base variant and 5,199 yuan (around Rs. 55,200) for the 16GB+256GB variant.
