Lenovo-owned Motorola has launched the Motorola Defy (2021) adding a new rugged smartphone that is developed in partnership with UK-based Bullitt Group.

Motorola Defy is the first Defyphone since 2012 that comes in with a rugged body and internals similar to the Moto G9 Play. The company claims that the phone can operate in extreme conditions and MIL-SPEC 810H compliant that makes it to drop proof up to 1.8m, water proof up to 1.5m for 35 minutes, and dust & sand proof.
Motorola Defy has a 6.5-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) IPS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and 90.1% screen-to-body ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front. It features a teardrop notch on top of the display that supports an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with up to 1080p video calling support.
It comes in power with the Snapdragon 662 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot.
It features a center fixed rectangular triple-lens camera setup on the back that includes a 48MP (f/1.7) primary sensor with PDAF, a 2MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor with a single LED flash that offers up to 1080p video recording support. It also features Motorola branding engraved on the back that also offers a fingerprint sensor for security and other features.
It offers dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity.
It comes in with a 5,000 mAh battery with 20W fast-charging support using a USB-C 2.0 port and comes with Android 11-based Moto’s UX running out-of-the-box.
