Tech reporters don’t trust rumors regarding any tech company but some rumors are more believable than others, like the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who first revealed the screen sizes and features of iPhones that launched last year.
In his new analyst note (via 9to5Mac and MacRumors) he has given a list of predictions for the upcoming Apple launches which includes that Apple will be releasing three new iPhones in 2019.
As Kuo predicts one of the new iPhone will have a triple-camera and all new devices will have the same screen sizes and the same notches as the last year iPhones. The new iPhone XR will might be using the same cheaper LCD display but will be getting an upgraded Face ID, better battery, and a frosted glass casing (similar to the frosted back on the Pixel 3).
The long awaited AirPower wireless charging mat will also start shipping from the first half of 2019. Kou, says that Apple is sticking to Lightning cable instead of USB-C which is used for faster wired charging. Kuo also supports the rumor that Apple is updating the iPod touch, iPad Mini and says that the Apple will be releasing two new iPads with a larger 10.2 inch screen instead of 9.7 inch ones.
