South Korean tech giant LG has revealed the LG V60 ThinQ 5G, the company’s latest flagship smartphone that offers 5G support, Dual Screen and a larger battery.
LG V60 ThinQ 5G has a 6.8-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2460 pixels) P-OLED display with an 83.6% screen-to-body ratio with a dewdrop notch that holds a 10MP (f/1.9) selfie camera. It includes an under-display fingerprint sensor that works relatively fast than some other devices and offers Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front of the display.
It comes in powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset and Adreno 650 GPU, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (UFS 2.1) which can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card.
It includes Qualcomm’s X55 modem which supports both flavors of 5G, mmWave (higher bandwidth) and sub-6GHz (better coverage).
It comes in with a horizontal triple-lens rear camera with a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS support, a 13MP ultra-wide lens with 117-degree FOV and a TOF sensor that comes in packed with amazing camera features including 8K video recording at 30 frames per second.
The company has updated its Dual Screen accessory which now boasts a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 360 Freestop Hinge which can be used in laptop, stands and tent modes. There is also a new 2.1-inch notification panel with convenient always-on functionality.
The second screen now connects via the USB-C port and unlike the one from the V50 lacks its own power supply.
It comes with LG UX 9.0-based on Android 10 running out-of-the-box, it includes an unremovable 5,000 mAh battery with 21W fast charging (Quick Charge 4.0) support and it also supports wireless charging at 9W.
It includes Bluetooth 5.1, WiFi 6, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 3.1 Type-C port for charging and data transfer the device is IP68 dust and water-resistant and MIL-STD 810G compliant.
The LG V60 ThinQ 5G will be available in blue and white colors and is coming later this spring. Pricing is yet to be detailed.
