Apple’s contract manufacturer Foxconn will start making iPhone X in the company’s 160-acre factory located in Chennai from July this year. Earlier Apple’s other contract manufacturer Wistron started manufacturing the iPhone 7.
Foxconn will begin with the iPhoneX (range) from the Chennai plant. The plans are to step up production capacity and diversify to even higher models going forward.

Sustained increase in manufacturing will depend on, among other factors, the continuation of afavourable incentive regime into the next government.
The iPhone X will be the fourth Apple mobile device to be manufactured in India. Apple started working with Wistron to manufacture iPhone SE in 2017, followred by iPhone 6S and lately iPhone 7 was added to the manufacturing list.
