Apple iPhone X

Apple’s contract manufacturer Foxconn will start making iPhone X in the company’s 160-acre factory located in Chennai from July this year. Earlier Apple’s other contract manufacturer Wistron started manufacturing the iPhone 7.

Foxconn will begin with the iPhoneX (range) from the Chennai plant. The plans are to step up production capacity and diversify to even higher models going forward.

Sustained increase in manufacturing will depend on, among other factors, the continuation of a favourable incentive regime into the next government.

An Official from Foxconn

The iPhone X will be the fourth Apple mobile device to be manufactured in India. Apple started working with Wistron to manufacture iPhone SE in 2017, followred by iPhone 6S and lately iPhone 7 was added to the manufacturing list.

If you were wondering that this manufacturing in India will reduce the prices of the iPhone X, then you have to stop wondering as the company has no plans to reduce the prices of the iPhone X which currently costs at Rs. 75,000 in India. But we hope Apple add some reduction to its price after it start manufacturing the iPhone X from July.
