Instagram is rolling out its Walkie-Talkie Voice Messaging feature globally today on both iOS and Android. As per the report came out four months earlier that Instagram was working on the voice messaging feature.
Users can hold down the microphone button to record their short voice message that will appear in the chat as an audio wave that the recipients can listen to at their pleasure. Voice messages can be up to one minute long, will stay permanently in the chat as one-on-one and group chats. Earlier Instagram launched the video calling feature in June.

Viber, Zello and Telegram, as well as Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp already have the voice messaging function enabled.
Hands-free voice messaging will give a better chat experience for those who like to talk more than using keyboards for chatting with friends or family. This feature will also help people whose language are not compatible with the keyboards in phones.
