Chinese tech giant Huawei has finally unveiled the Huawei Mate X2, its most awaited foldable smartphone that comes in as the successor of the Huawei Mate X launched in 2019.

Huawei Mate X2 has an 8-inch Foldable OLED display with 2200 x 2480 pixels resolution, 8:7.1 aspect ratio, and ~87.3% screen-to-body ratio. On fold it measures an external display of 6.45-inch FHD+ OLED 90Hz refresh rate screen, it includes a punch hole cutout on the top left of the display that holds a 16MP (f/2.2) selfie camera with up to 1080p video recording support.
It comes in power with the Kirin 9000 5G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage (UFS 3.0) which can be expanded up to 256GB using a nano memory card.
It features a rectangular quad-lens rear camera with a 50MP (f/1.9) primary sensor with omnidirectional PDAF, Laser AF and OIS, a 12MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, PDAF and OIS support, an 8MP (f/2.0) periscope telephoto lens with 10X optical zoom and a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens that offers up to 4K video recording support.
It also offers a side-mounted fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device in just 0.21 seconds. It comes with Android 10 based on EMUI 11 running out-of-the-box (without Google Play services).
It includes a 4,500 mAh battery with 55W fast charging with Huawei SuperCharge support. On connectivity, it offers WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, an Infrared port, and a USB-C (3.1) port for charging and data transfer.

Huawei Mate X2 starts at RMB 17,999 for the 256GB models and RMB 18,999 for the 512GB models currently available in China only. It comes in Black, White, Light Blue, and Rose Gold color options in China.
