Huawei has unveiled the Mate 40E 5G adding a new device to the Huawei Mate 40 series launched last year in China.

Huawei Mate 40E 5G has a 6.5-inch FHD+ (1080 x 2376 pixels) Curved OLED display with 90Hz refresh rate screen, HDR10+, an 18:5:9 aspect ratio and 89.3% screen-to-body ratio. It features a punch-hole cutout on the top left of the display that holds a 13MP (f/2.4) selfie camera that offers up to 4K video recording support.
It comes in power with the Kirin 990E 5G chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage (UFS 3.1) which can be expanded up to 256GB using a nano memory card.
It features a circular triple-lens rear camera with a 64MP (f/1.9) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.4) telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and a 16MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens that offers up to 4K video recording support.
It also offers an under-display fingerprint sensor that unlocks the device in just 0.21 seconds. It comes with Android 10 based on EMUI 11 running out-of-the-box (without Google Play services).
It includes a 4,200 mAh battery with 40W fast charging (both wired and wireless) support and it also offer reverse wireless charging support. On connectivity, it offers WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, Infrared port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB-C (3.1) port for charging and data transfer.

Huawei Mate 40E 5G starts at 4,599 yuan for 8G/128GB base variant while the 256GB storage variant is available for 5,099 yuan available in three color options in China.
