Honor has announced the Honor X40i 5G adding a new device to the Honor X Series in China that comes in as the successor of the Honor X30 series launched last year in China.

Honor X40i 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ IPS LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.2% screen-to-body ratio, 1080 x 2388 pixels resolution support display. It features a punch hole cutout on the top of the screen that holds an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie camera with 1080p video calling support.
Honor X40i 5G comes in powered with the Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G chipset paired with 8GB/12GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage with no expandable memory support. It also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication.
It comes in with a ring-shaped triple-lens rear camera setup that includes a 50MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with PDAF support and a 2MP depth sensor that offers up to 1080p video recording support.
It has a 4,000 mAh battery with a 44W fast charging support. On connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 and USB-C 2.0 support.
It comes in with Android 12-based Magic UI 6.1 with no Google Play Services running out of the box.

Honor X40i 5G is priced at 1,599 yuan for the 8GB/128GB base variant while the top variant with 12GB/256GB is priced at 1,999 yuan available in four rose pink, silver, green and black color options in China.
