Honor has launched the Honor V40 5G, the company’s first phone since Huawei sold it to Shenzhen-based consortium of Chinese partners.
The newly launched devices is currently exclusive to Chinese market but the company hopes to bring it to the world under the “View” branding.

Honor V40 5G comes in with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ super-curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen, 20:9 aspect ratio, 2676 x 1236 pixels resolution and HDR10 support. It features a pill shaped punch-hole cutout on the top left of the screen that features a dual-lens selfie camera with a 16MP main sensor and a color spectrum sensor.
Honor V40 5G comes in powered with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset that is equipped with GPU Turbo X and Hunter Boost optimizations to further improve gaming performance. It comes in coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal storage (UFS 2.1)
Honor V40 5G comes in with a rectangular triple-lens camera that includes a 50MP RYYB sensor (1/1.56-inch) sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots and a Laser focus sensor with up to 4K video recording support..
Honor V40 5G has a 4,000 mAh battery with 66W wired fast charging that can charge the device from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes and 50W wireless charging support (0 to 50% in just 35 minutes).
Honor V40 5G is priced at 3,599 yuan (~Rs. 40,600) for the base variant 8GB+128GB, while 256GB variant is available for 3,999 yuan (~Rs. 45,100) in three colors – Night Black, Titanium Silver, Rose Gold.
Honor V40 5G is expected to announce as Honor View 40 in other regions.
