Apple has announced that it will fix some iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus that suffered a “no power” issue for free, the company has found that it has happened in some devices due to component failure.
The company has said that some of the Apple iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus that have been manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019 with a limited specific serial number have been affected by this issue. This happened after the company discontinued the product in the US, but as Bloomberg noted the 6S models are still selling in select countries like India.
If you recently bought an iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus and it suddenly stopped switching on one day you should visit the company’s official page and check if your device is eligible for the free repair. If you already got your device repaired following this issue earlier you can apply for a refund.
Note: The program covers affected iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit so it is likely to end by the year 2021.
