Apple has officially announced the new iPhone 14 Pro Max model of the iPhone 14 series at the Apple California Streaming Event held in Apple Park, California.
The new iPhone 14 Pro Max has a new 6.7-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED 120Hz refresh rate Pro Motion OLED display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 1290 x 2796 pixels resolution, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Wide color gamut, True-tone support, up to 2000 nits of peak brightness and ceramic glass protection on the front.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max comes in with a pill shaped cutout on the top center of the display that Apple calls “Dynamic Island” which is the first major change to Apple’s iPhone design since the introduction of the Face ID. Dynamic Island take cares of all the sensor underneath and also adds interactive UI for most of the iOS apps.
It comes in power with the latest Apple A16 Bionic (4nm) chipset which Apple claims is “up to 50 percent faster” than the leading chips in Android smartphones. It comes in with 6GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB/512GB/1TB NVMe storage options.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max features a square-shaped triple-lens camera setup with a 48MP (f/1.8) primary sensor with dual pixel PDAF and sensor-shift OIS support, a 12MP (f/2.8) telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV and a TOF 3D LiDAR scanner (depth sensor) with Quad-LED dual-tone flash that offers up to [email protected], ProRes and Cinematic mode video recording support.
On the front, it offers a 12MP (f/2.2) selfie camera and an SL 3D (depth/biometric sensor) with up to 4K video recording, face detection, HDR, Cinematic Mode and Panorama support.
Apple has not revealed the size of the battery but it mentions that the battery includes 20W fast charging support and it takes just 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 50 percent, it also offers 15W fast wireless charging support.
On connectivity, it offers dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a USB 2.0 lightning port.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max is available at a starting price of $1099 for the 128GB model, there is a 256GB model for $1,199, a 512GB model for $1,399 and a 1TB model for $1599 available in four colors: Space Black, Silver, Gold and Deep Purple.
