Apple has officially announced the new iPhone 12 model of the iPhone 12 series launched at the Apple Hi, Speed Event held in Apple Park, California.
The new iPhone 12 has a new 6.1-inch Retina Super Retina XDR OLED display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, 1170 x 2532 pixels resolution, HDR10, Dolby Vision, Wide color gamut, and True-tone support.
It comes in power with the latest Apple A14 Bionic (5nm) chipset which Apple claims is “up to 50 percent faster” than the leading chips in Android smartphones.
Apple iPhone 12 features a square-shaped dual-lens camera setup with a 12MP (f/1.6) primary sensor with dual pixel PDAF and OIS support and a 12MP (f/2.4) ultra-wide-angle lens with 120-degree FOV with Quad-LED dual-tone flash.
On the front, it offers a 12MP (f/2.2) selfie camera and an SL 3D (depth/biometric sensor) with up to 4K video recording, face detection, HDR, and Panorama support.
Apple has not revealed the size of the battery but it mentions that the battery includes 18W fast charging support and it takes just 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 50 percent, it also offers 15W Qi fast wireless charging support.
On connectivity, it offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a USB-C lightning port.
Apple iPhone 12 is available at a starting price of $799 for the 64GB model, there is a 128GB model for $849 and a 256GB model for $949.
It is available in five colors: Black, White, Product Red, Green, and Blue
The prices mentioned here includes a $30 discount if you buy the iPhone 12 with a carrier like Verizon or Sprint, the unlocked variant adds $30 more to the listed prices.
It will be available for pre-order from November 6th ahead of shipping on November 13th in the United States.
